The second Code Club 2020 event: Reboot was successfully held in Kryvyi Rih. On March 7, experts showed children and parents the way to a dream - how to become an IT specialist in Ukraine and part of the IT community.

Code Club Ukraine is an all-Ukrainian network of coding clubs for children aged 8-13, which is the official representative of the British idea of Code Club. Currently, the network in our country has 766 groups, in which more than 10,000 children in 17 regions have studied programming during the 6 years of the initiative's existence.

- We strive to make the new format of IT education accessible to everyone. There are many ways to develop in this direction, but for children 8-13 years free programs are only available to us. And in 2020 Code Club Ukraine announced a reboot! We strengthen the team, create motivation programs for volunteer mentors, attract new partners and provide quality marketing support. The loyalty program for volunteers allows them not only to share their experiences, but also to gain prospects for further development. Quality and accessible education for children remains the main focus of the Code Club. At the same time, IT students can get an internship, get their first job and quality networking. For IT companies, cooperation with the Code Club is the realization of social responsibility. Together we make a significant contribution to the development of education for Ukrainians, - said Alina Shcherbyna, project manager of Code Club Ukraine, chief operating officer of the IT community WTECH Ukraine, executive director of the Odessa International Film Festival.

Kryvyi Rih was chosen as the venue for the second event as part of the Reboot, as new free coding clubs for children are being actively opened here.

- Code Club in Kryvyi Rih has existed since 2017. Over the course of three years, more than 500 students were trained in local clubs. Today we have 20 volunteers, respectively, 20 groups. This is not enough, and we want even more professionals to join the initiative and become mentors. To do this, we cooperate with universities, IT companies, educational institutions, - said the curator of Code Club Kryvyi Rih Olena Titova.

The meeting of current and future students of Code Club Ukraine, mentors-volunteers, curators of the whole region with representatives of the IT industry was hospitably hosted by IT HUB Coworking. More than 50 guests gathered on the site of the first space in Kryvyi Rih in the format of "flexible offices". The updated Code Club Ukraine will prefer such locations for programming clubs.

- IT-Cluster is a joint work of many partners. And together we can now learn, gain knowledge and gain new professions, - said Artem Karyavka, founder of the company and online platform LivaRava, founder of the first hackerspace in Ukraine, chairman of Kryvyy Rih IT-Cluster - co-organizer of the event. - Einstein once said: "imagination is more important than knowledge." And although I have dedicated my whole life to finding knowledge and systematizing it, it is true. So I advise you to be more interested in what you see around. Explore the outside world. Do what you love, and ultimately it inspires you to develop. At the lunch, the club members had a unique opportunity to go all the way in the programming industry - from a student to a successful specialist. In just a few hours, the IT industry has become closer and more understandable for children and their parents thanks to interesting speeches by our speakers.

Nikita Shevtsiv, Mobile developer of SooprIT, a master's student at Kryvyi Rih National University, told about 7 mistakes on the way to success. Igor Shelevytsky, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Information Technology and Modeling KEI KNEU. Vadim Hetman, explained what IT is and how to train programmers. Eugene Pitsyk, Director of the Dnieper region of JSC "TASCOMBANK" - the main partner of Code Club Ukraine, dedicated the speech to the topic "IT in the bank - people who make finances convenient."

- We are convinced that investments in knowledge are investments not only in the successful future of Ukrainian children, but also in the successful future of our country. The social partnership between TASKOMBANK and Code Club UA is a positive example of combining the efforts of business and representatives of the educational sphere. We fully support the mission of the Code Club and will provide full support to its initiatives and initiatives. We are grateful to the teachers who teach children on a voluntary basis. For them, this is an invaluable and noble contribution to the future of the younger generation, and if we take the above - the further formation of Ukraine as an economically and technologically strong European state, - sums up Eugene Pitsyk.
